The digital real estate economy forms

In Berlin, the “German PropTech Initiative” (GPTI) was founded. As a front runner of digital innovation in construction and real estate, Building Radar, of course, was a founding member of the GPTI. The association set itself the goal to connect digital start-ups in the real estate industry, so-called PropTechs with each other and to offer those who are interested in a central point for the scene. At the founding meeting co-founder Alexander Ubach-Utermöhl, managing partner of the black print partners GmbH was elected chairman.

Initiative to promote the digital revolution in real estate

With a combination of networking and media attention, the association wants to increase the awareness of digital business models in the real estate industry. Alexander Ubach-Utermöhl: “We need a nationwide exchange for PropTech companies and a noticeable presence in the media.” The opinions of GPTI-initiators Carl-Friedrich von Stechow and Nicolas Jacobi are similar: “In particular, a young industry needs a lively discourse in order to develop”, they argue.

Close cooperation and knowledge exchange

In addition to recurring events and unified press relations, GPTI uses social networks to promote exchange and perception. For example, GPTI uses the meetup.com platform to organize periodic meetings in Berlin. “PropTechs change with their digital and innovative business models, the real estate industry. We manufacture visibility, thereby creating the opportunity to find or develop partnerships”, says Alexander Ubach-Utermöhl.

Best in class founding companies

The other founding members of GPTI are Paul Indinger, Managing Director at Building radar, Nicolas Jacobi, CEO of Immomio, Dr. Emilio Matthaei, CEO of Leverton, Stefan Zanetti, CEO of all things and Carl-Friedrich von Stechow, co-founder of ZINSLAND.
